Legendary Formula One Champion's Motorcycle Sells for $75,000

When you have won a record-breaking seven Formula One World Drivers' Championship titles, why not add a few motorcycles to your collection as well? That's exactly what seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher did!

Recently, Schumacher's 2010 Honda CBR1000RR SC59 "Fireblade" was put up for auction at RM Sotheby’s. Originally expected to sell for $30,000 to $40,000 USD, this track day bike was converted from road to race specifications by Holzhauer Racing Performance (HRP) for Schumacher to use during test days. The Fireblade features traction control, wheelie control, and special components like an airbox, oil cooler, quick shifter, and Akrapovič Titan exhaust system.

With 3,730 kilometers on the odometer, it's clear that Schumacher actually rode this bike. Photos included in the auction listing show the German F1 legend in action on the Fireblade.

While this bike may not have the racing pedigree of some other auctioned bikes, it holds sentimental value as it was ridden by one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers in history. The Fireblade also came with a Schuberth helmet and a pair of motorcycle gloves signed by Schumacher himself.

So, what was the final sale price for this custom track bike? A whopping $75,000 USD! This exceeded the initial expectations at RM Sotheby’s "The Champions – Schumacher and F1 Legends" auction held from July 23-30, 2025.
