Moto Morini's New Adventure Bike: The Vettore
Moto Morini, a lesser-known Italian motorcycle brand with a rich history dating back to the 1930s, has been making strides to re-establish itself globally since being acquired by China's Zhongneng Vehicle Group in 2018. The company aims to offer European styling and engineering at more affordable price points.
One of Moto Morini's recent endeavors is a mid-sized adventure bike that was unveiled at EICMA 2024. Originally named the Alltrhike, the bike has been rebranded for the US market as the Vettore.
According to Dennis Chung at Motorcycle.com, VIN filings have confirmed the name change, but the bike's specifications remain the same. It is powered by a 450cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 44.8 horsepower and 31.0 lb-ft of torque. The suspension features a 41 mm Kayaba inverted fork at the front and a fully adjustable Kayaba monoshock at the rear.
Braking is handled by a 320 mm front disc with a radial four-piston caliper and a 255 mm rear disc with a two-piston setup. The Vettore comes with dual-channel ABS that can be turned off for off-road riding, a 21-inch front wheel, an 18-inch rear wheel with wire spokes, and 8.5 inches of ground clearance. The claimed dry weight is 419 pounds, and the seat height is 33.1 inches.
Moto Morini plans to offer two trims of the Vettore. The base version is available in black or green, while a higher-spec white version includes heated grips, a heated seat, handguards, and upgraded tires. Both trims feature a TFT display with built-in navigation, USB and USB-C ports, an adjustable windscreen, and a center stand.
Despite not having the brand recognition of Ducati or BMW, the Vettore offers a mix of features that appeal to both new riders and experienced adventurers. Small bikes like the Vettore are fun, easy to ride, and capable of serious adventure. Would you consider the Vettore as your everyday lightweight ADV bike? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
