Taiwanese Brand SYM Introduces New Adventure-Style Scooter

Taiwanese brand SYM specializes in scooters that offer practical and affordable urban mobility. With a wide range of scooters to suit various budgets, SYM has become a popular choice for scooter enthusiasts. In 2024, the brand is expanding its model range with the introduction of a new adventure-style scooter.

The adventure scooter segment, popularized by the Honda X-ADV in 2016, has seen many new entrants, and the SYM ADX 300 is the latest addition to this category. Building on the success of the ADX 125 launched in October 2023, the ADX 300 offers enhanced performance and premium features while maintaining its rugged styling. The scooter features a mini beak at the front, a tall windscreen, and angular bodywork. It also boasts full LED lights, giving it a more premium look and feel.

Under the hood, the ADX 300 is powered by a 278.3cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum power output of 25.8 horsepower and 26 Nm of torque. With 15-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels, as well as front and rear disc brakes, the scooter offers confident stopping power.

In addition to its performance, the ADX 300 offers practical features that make it suitable for adventure riding. It provides ample under-seat storage, a spacious saddle for two riders, long floorboards for a comfortable seating position, and grab handles for two-up riding. The adjustable windscreen and built-in handguards offer added protection from the elements. To enhance its off-road capabilities, SYM reinforced the central portion of the Joyride 300 frame and increased the fuel capacity from 11.5 liters to 16 liters.

Pricing and availability for the SYM ADX 300 have not yet been announced. However, sources suggest that it will be available on European roads in 2024.
