Royal Enfield Launches 2024 Himalayan with Improved Performance

Royal Enfield, known for its style and minimalist riding experience, surprised many at EICMA 2023 with the launch of the 2024 Himalayan, showcasing its performance capabilities.

The Himalayan, beloved for its rugged appeal, now features a new engine that adds power to its repertoire. The 452cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine delivers 40 horsepower and 40 Nm of torque, putting it in competition with models like the KTM 390 Adventure and Honda CB500X.

In addition to the impressive engine, the 2024 Royal Enfield Himalayan boasts WP suspension, a 21-inch front wheel, a 17-inch rear wheel with dual-purpose rubber, and advanced features like a full-color TFT display and ride-by-wire technology. It also offers ride modes and switchable ABS for enhanced off-road performance.

Despite its modern features, the 2024 Himalayan maintains its retro styling with classic-inspired elements such as a round headlight, teardrop-shaped tank, and a vintage-enduro feel.

Pricing details for the new Himalayan have been released for key European markets. In Italy, the adventure bike starts at 5,900 euros ($6,367 USD), while in the UK, it begins at £5,750 ($7,246 USD). France shares the same price as Italy at 5,900 euros ($6,367 USD). As of now, the 2024 Himalayan is not listed on Royal Enfield's US website, and the previous model is still priced at $5,449 USD.
