The Legendary Career of Valentino Rossi

The name Valentino Rossi is instantly recognizable, even to those with little knowledge about motorcycles and motorsports. Considered one of the most iconic athletes of all time, Rossi's career is a shining gem in the world of sports.

One brand that played a crucial role in Rossi's success is Brembo. Known for their efficient and performance-focused braking systems, Brembo was a constant companion throughout Rossi's career. Every single one of his race bikes was equipped with a braking system from the Italian company.

To commemorate Rossi's successful racing career, Brembo awarded him a special trophy during the San Marino GP at Misano. This trophy was handcrafted to showcase his entire career. It incorporated parts from Rossi's very first race bike in 1996 and components from his last race bike, the Yamaha YZR-M1, which he rode in his final race in Valencia in 2021.

Daniele Schillaci, the CEO of Brembo, expressed his honor in presenting Rossi with this unique trophy, emphasizing the unbreakable bond between Rossi and Brembo. He thanked Rossi for always being with the company and allowing them to bring continuous innovation to every sports bike he competed and won on.

Rossi's racing career is truly illustrious. He completed 432 Grands Prix, earning over 6,350 points. In the MotoGP class alone, he achieved 89 first-place finishes and won a total of 115 races throughout his career. Brembo provided some interesting estimates about the equipment Rossi used. They believe he used over 450 front rotors, more than 1,000 brake pads, and approximately 280 liters of brake fluid throughout his career.
