Aprilia V4 Models Recall
If you own a 2026 Aprilia RSV4, RSV4 Factory, Tuono V4, or Tuono V4 1100 Factory in the US, be aware that Aprilia USA is recalling all 2026 Aprilia V4 models due to an issue with the rear taillight cluster. The problem could cause the turn signals and/or rear taillight to stop working without warning. While this may not impact the rider's ability to operate the bike, it could affect how other road users perceive and respond to the rider's actions, posing a safety risk.
Aprilia's records show that 541 motorcycles, representing 100% of the US population, are affected by this issue. The official recall report was submitted to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on September 11, 2025.
The issue arises from two wires within the light cluster not being soldered to the turn signal led circuit board, even though they are not in use. These loose wires could cause flickering or lighting inconsistencies as they move. Aprilia has received nine warranty claims globally related to this problem.
Warning signs of the issue include flickering lights and power consumption when the key is turned off. While the recall report does not mention significant battery drain, prolonged power consumption with the key off could lead to a dead battery.
Since July 11, 2025, Aprilia has been using components to address the issue in newly produced machines. The dealer network will be informed of the recall on September 19, 2025, and owner notification letters will be sent between September 26, 2025, and October 10, 2025.
Under the recall, Piaggio Group Americas will provide recall services through authorized Aprilia dealers, replacing both left and right turn signals at no cost to the customer.
