Important Recall Notice for Dunlop TT93GP Pro Motorcycle Tires

If you purchased a set of Dunlop TT93GP Pro motorcycle tires in 2025, you should be aware of a recent recall. Dunlop, a brand owned by Sumitomo Rubber Industries Limited, has identified a manufacturing defect in a specific batch of these tires produced at the Izumiotsu factory in Osaka, Japan.

Between January 7, 2025 and July 8, 2025, Dunlop TT93GP Pro front and rear motorcycle tires were manufactured at the Izumiotsu factory with an extruder defect. Approximately 57 tires with this defect were sent to the US market, representing 100% of the affected population. The affected tire sizes are 100/90-12 49J and 120/80-12 55J.

The defect involves some of the sidewall rubber compound unintentionally ending up on the tire tread surface during extrusion. This could impact traction, especially during aggressive riding. While performance degradation has not been measured, Sumitomo is issuing a recall as a precautionary measure.

Owners of the affected tires will have the option to receive a replacement tire of the same specification or a full refund. Dealers will need to render recalled tires unusable by cutting the bead before disposal.

Sumitomo will notify dealers between August 25, 2025 and September 12, 2025, and registered owners between September 15, 2025 and October 10, 2025.
