Community Responsibility

I have no concern for your identity or whether you belong to my community. If you are behaving foolishly, you deserve the consequences that come your way. It is the responsibility of those within our communities to regulate ourselves. If you witness someone engaging in reckless behavior such as off-roading and littering, camping without extinguishing campfires, or hunting without considering what lies beyond the target, it is essential to address this misconduct.

If we do not intervene, these individuals will continue to act as they please, tarnishing the reputation of law-abiding citizens. When I stumbled upon the video below, depicting a group of motorcyclists blocking a crosswalk at a red light, I was irritated. However, after watching the rest of the video, I found myself both amused and impressed by the actions of the crossing guard who reprimanded the riders and instructed them to move back.

You are a hero in my eyes.

In the video, the motorcyclists enter the crosswalk and obstruct the pedestrian path to the other side of the street. Our hero steps in, jumps onto two motorcycles, and proceeds to the opposite end to deliver his reprimands. He then moves along the line of motorcyclists, who are taken aback and begin to retreat.

Although I cannot hear what the reprimanding individual is saying to the riders, I assume it is along the lines of, "What are you doing? This is a crosswalk. Can you not see the markings? Are you that foolish?"

According to Reddit users, this incident took place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and this individual has a history of similar actions. Unfortunately, this approach may not be effective in the United States, as it could escalate into a dangerous situation. It would be beneficial if this method could be implemented, as a little shame could greatly improve our country.

Perhaps we should consider bringing individuals like the reprimanding hero to the US, but ensure they are dispersed to address more than just reckless motorcycle riders...
