Updates to Honda's Forza 750 and X-ADV for 2026

Recently, there have been updates to Honda's Forza 750 and X-ADV for 2026. These updates are exciting for those in countries where these big scooters are available. Personally, I have always wanted to ride an X-ADV, but it is unlikely to happen in my home country.

One of the updates mentioned previously is Honda's plan to incorporate more recycled plastics into their bodywork. Now, Honda has provided more details on how they are increasing the use of recycled materials in these models as well as other bikes. This is particularly interesting for those interested in materials science.

Since 2024, Honda has been using recycled automotive bumper materials from its dealership network to make the luggage box for the X-ADV. Additionally, Honda has been utilizing "pre-consumer recycled materials" in crafting body panels for models like the NC750X, Forza 750, and X-ADV.

These pre-consumer recycled materials are similar to leftover cookie dough that is reformed into new cookies. Honda is using scrap bits of plastic from manufacturing processes to create new components for their bikes. This approach allows for greater accountability and reliability in the recycling process.

Furthermore, Honda has been using Mitsubishi's Durabio plastic in some of its bikes since 2024. This bio-engineered plastic has been used in models like the NC750X and CRF1100L Africa Twin. Honda plans to expand the use of this material in future models.

In addition to plastic recycling, Honda has found ways to recycle aluminum into wheels. This initiative started with small-diameter wheels and has expanded to larger motorcycle models in Japan. Honda intends to continue using recycled aluminum in wheel manufacturing for more models and markets in the future.

This sustainability effort benefits everyone involved by reducing waste and creating usable products from recycled materials. It is a positive step for riders, Honda, and the environment. Share your thoughts in the comments below!
