The Art of the Wheelie

The wheelie. It's the first impressive trick you master on a bicycle. It's the first impressive trick you master on a motorcycle. Why? Because it's just plain cool. Even after years of riding and pulling wheelies on all sorts of machines, I still find them exciting. And my kids feel the same when they ride with me.

Learning to do wheelies can be challenging, especially for new riders. Even experienced riders like myself sometimes need a little assistance, especially with companies like Triumph and Ducati incorporating safety features like "Wheelie Control." While you still need the skill to lift the front wheel, these systems help prevent accidents.

But now, a small electric scooter company is taking wheelie controls to the next level by introducing a button that practically turns you into a wheelie master. With the push of a button, you can pop a wheelie like a pro. Introducing the Wheelie Fun Bike and its innovative wheelie button.

What is the Wheelie Fun Bike?

The Wheelie Fun Bike is an electric pit bike similar to a Coleman pit bike in size and ease of use. Created by Jeff McCosker, the company's website describes it as "The first ever self-wheelie electric bike." With two unique wheelie modes, Push To Wheelie and Digital Wheelie Bar, riders can perform wheelies effortlessly.

The Push to Wheelie button allows riders to simply press and hold the button to initiate a wheelie. While in wheelie mode, leaning forward speeds up the bike, while leaning back slows it down. The Digital Wheelie Bar prevents the bike from flipping over and causing accidents.

Powered by a 10Ah, 72V battery and a 6" High-torque hub motor delivering 5kW of power, the Wheelie Fun Bike has a range of about 30 miles per charge and a top speed of 35mph. An app is also available for tutorials, ride modes, and customization options.

For those interested, the pre-order price for the Founder Edition of the Wheelie Fun Bike is $2,995, with the standard version priced at $3,499. The bike will be manufactured in Sacramento, California, and promises to provide endless fun for riders of all skill levels.
